The range of the stunning eyewear by the outstanding designers Domenico Dolce and Stephano Gabbana was revealed at the Dolce & Gabbana fall winter 2013 fashion show during the Milan Fashion Week. Once again the duo brought the striking designs that pleased the fashion-forward individuals. The utterly gorgeous dresses and accessories were decorated with the beautiful mosaics, which was inspired by the archiepiscopal cathedral Duomo di Monreale.
However, we shouldn’t deny the obvious fact that Dolce & Gabbana designers didn’t want to experiment much with their eyewear line and went the safest way by simple presenting the designs from the previous collection with the hint of the richly decorative stylization. The beautiful decorations of the eyewear reminiscent the ancient frescoes, delicate lace and mirror frames. The gold roses and blooming foliages that stretch along the frames added an elegant feel to the eyewear.
The “Byzantine” part of the collection is especially chic and luxurious and gives us a better understanding of the rich Italian culture. Since the key accent in the collection was made on the religious theme, it was also reflected in the accessories line, which received a special attention from the designers’ side. The appealing pendants, earrings and beautiful sunglasses were overloaded with the sophisticated details.
By the way, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabban started working on this fall winter 2013 collection a few months prior to the fashion show and couldn’t predict the Dolce & Gabbana “Byzantine” collection will concur with the loud scandals at the Vatican.
