The economic downturn has affected all spheres of our life already and fashion industry is not an exception.

Now we will speak about hat trends and you will see that hats which are in style are too democratic and slipshod. I wonder if designers wished to create styles showing people don’t care much the whole planet is in trouble.

Well, generally if you feel you don’t want to purchase something new for the season just wear your classic fedora hat, a cap or a kerchief – all those which have been with us for a while. But what you have to forget is a beret, put it deeper into your closet for better times.

Panama hat

Panama hat is a new thing for us and we don’t know exactly how to wear it yet. It looks great but you should wear it with chic as if you are wearing an elegant wide-brimmed hat. Otherwise you run the risk of looking a bit silly.

Panama hats are charming and they remind me of the 60s and the 70s. This hat style goes well with trenches, sporty windbreakers, denim clothes, cashmere cardigans, etc.

Fedoras in men style

As we have already mentioned this spring we see fedora hats again and now they are more in men style.

This item of our wardrobe makes us look confident and modern.

Safari style hats

Another hot trend of spring and summer is an oversized hat in safari style. It also looks pretty mannish with a high crown, wide brims and a natural color palette – sand grey, terracotta, khaki, greenish or beige hues.

Such hats can be successfully paired with rucksacks.

70s style hats

In case you want something more feminine designers offer us hats in the 70s style. They have rounded crowns and soft wide brims.

These hats are for those who like looking womanly.

Straw hats

For the hottest season designers offer us cute straw hats in style of the 20s. They are practical and interesting.

Turbans

This super hit will be taken by majority of women with alert. First of all because turban is not easy to put on, even if you buy the ready one.

Secondly it is not so simple to wear. Your neck, shoulders, turn of the head – these all should be held with pride and dignity.

Besides, we all have some idea of where to wear a turban – this can hardly be an office, local store, party, etc.

But designers seem to wish to make us forget about all those stereotypes concerning the turbans. And as a result we see turbans worn with trenches, jackets, denim garments and other clothes in spring-summer collections.

Hair accessories

In spring many women prefer to take off any headwear and show the beauty of the hair. Designers have plenty of ideas on how to decorate the hair with little pretty items.

Well, let’s begin from circlets adorned with ribbons and bows. Nice fabrics, pink and pastel colors make them look cute and exquisite.

By the way, bows are of much importance now on various hair items but they are no longer as voluminous as before, they are much flatter but still very feminine.

Artificial flowers used in styling are very popular too and look great both on short and long hair.
