How to choose stockings

Share |

Stockings are a very sexy part of a women’s wardrobe. They are admired by both men and women for their simple design and appeal they provide a woman with. Nowadays, women want to be sexy not only in their bedrooms but at work and in the street too. How to achieve that? Wearing stockings of course!

Little history

Until the sixteenth century stockings were worn only by men. But soon women understood how nice and comfortable stockings are and adopted those into their wardrobes. Since then stockings were concieved as a symbol of femininity.

If men used to wear stockings as outwear, women turned them into underwear. Stockings even became so intimate that some Arabian countries forbade the import of these for many years under the threat of death penalty.

In Europe stockings became popular in the 30s of the last century when DuPont company offered nylon stockings as an alternative to simple woolen and unpurchasable silk ones. Fashionistas all over the world began to lust for nylon stockings while those who couldn’t buy them had to draw seams on usual ones.

After the World War II stockings became affordable for every woman and since then on they have always been trendy.

How to choose stockings

There are so many types of stokings that one can easily get entangled when selecting a pair. Garters and belts are not necessary now, they are additional accessories which many women prefer to avoid. Modern stockings are made using special silicon layers on the inside which allow the stockings to hold straight on the leg.

When choosing the material take into consideration the season you are going to wear them in and your own preferences.

Lycra stockings are considered classic. They can be thick or very delicate and almost invisible. Woolen stockings aren’t widely wearable as tights are more comfortable for warm seasons.

Light lycra stockings look more natural but don’t protect from cold. Thicker stockings go well for colder seasons but look ridiculous in summer.

Stockings can come in different colors. The most popular are classic black stockings. But some women prefer white and beige ones. Of course there are other hues as well – grey, brown, blue, crimson, red – for any outfit nad any occasion.

Modern stockings are often decorated with patterns, strasses, embroidery, that is why every woman can choose a stict variant for office wear, and fancier stockings for a party.

So, stockings are a versatile item because they give you comfort and look great on slender women’s legs.

What to wear with stockings

Wearing stockings is easy and every woman can do this nicely. But there are rules one shouldn’t break if she doesn’t want to ruin her reputation.

Stockings are considered underwear and thus, they have to be hidden. You can’t wear short skirts with stockings so that the lace part is seen. If you choose a very clinging dress ot trousers to dress in stokings are to be avoided.

Stocking ate intended to show how feminine the woman is, that is why they can’t be worn with sportswear. High heels, a skirt – this is what is associated with a woman who likes stockings.

Stockings boost woman’s confidence in her attractiveness. Decorum doesn’t admit the stockings to be seen but this doesn’t bother the woman to feel sexual and ooze sexuality.
