Brian Atwood is another designer brand to launch bridal footwear line. But don’t expect mid-height heels and modest designs as the designer is known for creating daring shoes that often make it to the red carpet.

The new made-to-measure collection will consist of thirteen shoe styles and one clutch embellished with Swarovski crystals. Ranged between $895 and $5,295 the shoes will be available at Brian Atwood’s New York Flagship store on Madison Avenue and online. The styles will be available in various finishes that a bride can choose to ensure the shoes match the dress.

The designer’s style can be seen in all of the pieces but he made sure to make them more wearable. There is a flower-embroidered Aurora satin open toe sandal, a classic satin Casandra court shoe and more daring platform shoe with an ankle strap Liuba and vertiginous platform sandal Sasha.

There are also such modern elements as embellished heel, hidden platform, metallic finish and even a chunky heel.

Some of these styles, especially in leather finish, can be worn on a daily basis after the wedding too thanks to their trendy versatile designs. Pair them with lightweight blouses and pencil skirts and voila a summer office look is ready.

Most of the designs feature a trendy ankle strap that will keep your shoes in place at all times whether you dance the first dance or simply walk around posing for pictures.

The first thing that draws attention are the heavy decorative accents and classy prints, which are abundant in this collection. Manolo Blahnik’s Spring 2013 shoe collection is full of bright colors and summer styles. There are shoes for many tastes staring with feminine floral pointed shoes in pastel hues to men’s style monochromatic brogues the designer created for Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2013 show. There are also brighter shades of pink and green as well as neutral black styles decorated with metal details.

Strappy sandals are a big part of collection. But there are not only heeled models but also flat ones. Pointed slippers in polka dot and solids come with square shoe tongue which in some models is decorated with oval/square metal detail.

Open toe shoes come in various styles. One of the models is a heeled Oxford shoe in beige and red. Another interesting model is a sling back open toe shoe in hot pink color with an interestingly-shaped tongue.

You might already know that Monique Lhuillier debuted her own shoe line during her RTW Spring 2013 show and that she already launched a capsule bridal footwear collection. Well, now we get to see the designer’s Fall 2013 shoe collection which completed the outfits at New York Fashion Week during the Monique Lhuillier’s RTW Fall 2013 show.

If the Spring collection was all lace and loops the Fall 2013 range got new elements like transparent panels, bedazzled heels and metal cap toes. Surprisingly the collection consists mostly of strappy sandals in various colors and finishes. There are a few boot designs and also pumps with clear side panels.

Sophisticated heels come in autumnal colors like dark red but there is also a trendy dark emerald green and of course neutral black. Other colors include fuchsia, pinkish red and tea rose. Metallic finishes also make an appearance in strappy sandals.

There is of course lace which appeared in Spring 2013 collection and satin which makes for perfect fabric for evening shoes. Speaking of fabrics, some of the shoes are featured in velour while others are made in suede. The prints and textures can be seen in pumps in reptile leather and sandals with leopard toes.

The ankle strap is another element that echoes from the Spring 2013 collection. It comes thin as well as wide. In one of the designs it comes tied with a ribbon while in another one there is a double ankle strap.

The boots come in ankle as well as knee-high length. They feature clear and leather panels and toes and heels covered in contrasting materials. There are plenty of evening shoe options as well as designs suitable for every day wear. Some of the designs are more architectural while others are simple yet chic and beautiful.

Brian Atwood’s Spring/Summer 2013 Ad Campaign & Lookbook

Brian Atwood’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection is full of colorful chic shoes. The designer tapped supermodel Eva Herzigova to front his Spring 2013 ad campaign as well as had his designs lensed in a campaign-like lookbook.

Lensed by Mert & Marcus the ad campaign features naked Eva Herzigova wearing only bright Brian Atwood kicks in a swimming pool. One of the pairs is a platform sandal Sigrid adorned with colorful flowers while the other one is a fuchsia gladiator sandal Zoe with lacing and reptile leather elements.

The lookbook is also photographed poolside featuring both male and female models showing off the sandals, pumps and open toe cutout Electra boots. There is also a pair of blue evening shoes made of shagreen leather.

Other designs include playful polka dot open toe sandals, double platform pumps, and a range of assymetrical sandals in different colors including magenta and chartreuse which are perfect for completing Spring/Summer 2013 outfits.

The collection features mostly sky-high heels but there are also designs with mid-height heels that come in a variety of colors, patterns and textures. Platforms too make a good part of the collection. They are combined with heels and featured mostly in sandal style but there are also pumps in black pony, nude silk, nude patent leather, natural cork, and gold and taupe suede. Strappy gladiator boots are also a part of the collection and come in three colors – black, white and bronze.

Textures range from patent to reptile leather as well as suede and even lace. Finishes also include the trendy metallics that can be seen in Lyn gladiator sandals, Temptation assymetrical sandals, and silver Nico pumps.

Nicholas Kirkwood Spring/Summer 2013 Lookbook

Nicholas Kirkwood’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection is a range of amazing designs featuring the latest footwear trends. There are square kitten heels, unusual creative heels, and eye-catchy colors. The styles range from flats to kitten and high heels and there are also creative wedges and unusual metal cap toes.

The designer who created a shoe collection for last year’s Victoria’s Secret show says he took inspiration for this one from waves. And it does show especially in heeled sandals decorated with curved leather and suede in different colors.

Patterns and bright colors are also featured in designs. The color palette ranges from classic black to turquoise, neon green, royal blue, orange and even oxblood.

Pointed ballet pumps is another trend of the season. Nicholas Kirkwood created wonderful metal cap toe pointed ballet pumps with a smallest unconventional heel in beautiful color combinations of light pink, neon green, purple and different shades of blue.

Sling back shoes and sandals also take a good part of the collection. They come in patent leather in candy colors like aqua, light pink, and light yellow.

Between the high and kitten heels there are designs that feature a mid-height heel. These come in sandals and metal cap toe designs similar to that of ballet pumps. For those who favor platforms there are a few styles that feature solely platform or a platform with a heel.

Another big trend can be seen in the styles with an ankle strap that comes in statement wedges and other shoes and sandals. All in all the collection is creative and beautiful. There are many trendy pieces as well as more casual footwear to complete your Spring outfits with.

Natalia Vodianova collaborated with the Russian retailer Centro to design a shoe collection to help raise money for charity, the Naked Heart Foundation that builds playgrounds for children in Russia, founded by the model in 2004. The collection is a follow-up to the Fall 2012 shoe range, from which the collaboration between Vodianova and Centro started. The new collection will retail at £60 per pair available at Net-A-Porter. The proceeds from the collection sales will go on to help construct a hundredth playground. The model said:

I am really happy that Centro and Net-A-Porter have joined forces to make this wonderful project possible. Dear ladies, please support our initiative and may this fairy tale have the happiest of endings.

Natalia Vodianova Designed Shoe Collection With Centro

Since the first collection Natalia wanted the shoes to make consumers feel like princesses. The collection consists of court shoes with the trendy metallic stilettos in three colors, beige, pink and black. The heel is also decorated with rhinestones in matching colors.

Vodianova isn’t the only model to partner with the shoe label though. Anja Rubik teamed up with the shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti to design a capsule collection of footwear and accessories called ‘Giuseppe for Anja Rubik’ which launches in early March. The collaboration happened ‘naturally’ according to designer who had the model in his atelier ‘exchanging ideas and skills’.

Rubik has also been the brand’s face for several consecutive seasons fronting every campaign. This collection will consist of five shoe styles, one of which will be a flat sandal, and a bag available from Zanotti’s official website and Colette web store. The statement shoes feature interesting shapes and designs, gold metal details and elements like lacings. The collection will be priced as regular Zanotti designs, at around $1,200.

Rubik has fronted the ad campaign for the collection herself posing alongside Zanotti, photographed by Paola Kudacki. The stylish campaign shots come in black and white which accentuates the dark shoe designs. Casual Boat Shoes

Boat shoes can be much more versatile that you imagine.  Casually, they work with cutoffs, khakis, boyfriend jeans or leggings.  Outfit ideas for the two casual Sperry for women shoes below are nautical, with dark denim cutoffs and just a bit of fringe showing.  Pair with layered long sleeve tees, a red one just peeking out from beneath a white one.  Want another casual yet chic way to wear your Sperry’s?  Distressed boyfriend jeans and a casual sweater work well, and again, emit a beachy boat vibe.

Animal print always spices things up a bit, but a sequin cheetah print Sperry…well that’s just fabulous!  These beauties will stand out against black leggings.  Depending on your shape, you have various options in term of what you wear on top, but regardless, the idea of mixing in some feminine lace is a must-try.

If metallic is more your style, a gold metallic boat shoe is the way to go.  For summer, try them with black dress shorts, a basic tank or cami and sequin blazer.  Although unexpected, these pieces will still work together and a boat shoe is so much more comfortable than a traditional heel for a night out.

This spring and summer, boat shoes are a perfect and versatile way to go.  Whether worn casually, or in an unexpected dressed up manner, Sperry Top-Siders are a super-chic comfortable way to step through the season!
