New Pre-Fall 2013 Campaign by Roberto Cavalli

Once again, Roberto Cavalli is showing his immense love for the various prints: geometrical, floral, animal, abstract – he loves it all! Following his heart in creating the most exotic prints, the Pre-Fall 2013 collection displays a lot of unique patterns and daring combinations.

The major hues of the collection are very simple, the black, whites, sometimes fire red, and some yellow in combination with blue. But all of these colors are really subtle, as the major role playing here are prints. So, despite the almost monochromatic color schemes, the collection seems to be very diverse, as it the patterns are doing their job.

Overall, the Pre-Fall 2013 collection is very versatile, as it contains both the strict suites, as well as pencil skirts, flare skirts and maxi gowns, as well as masculine pant-suits and vests.

One of the most prominent features of the collection is the fury vests and pants, that look very gorgeous despite the bad attention they would receive from animal lovers. Oh, well, beauty is always a sacrifice!

It is also very interesting to note, that all of the pieces are made very sophisticated with little skin exposure. This is proving the point, that to be classy, you don’t need to take off all your clothes! As well as other points, that accessories are not essential if you have gorgeous patterns all over your dress. These elegant and gorgeous prints can actually be a substitute to anything – color, form, accessories or looks.

Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2013 collection isn’t as dramatic and theatrical as the brand’s regular season collection but it certainly does have drama to it. Puffy sleeves, high collars, and incredible drapes are all there. One of the elements is the frill, a trend that was spotted in Gucci and Balenciaga Spring 2013 collections.

The mostly monochrome line consists of beautiful statement pieces including red carpet worthy numbers as well as quite wearable items. A part of this collection comes in form of short dresses and coat dresses decorated with gorgeous floral details. Then there are fur coats and dramatic capes and the evening gowns detailed with frill and patterned elements.

The footwear resembles the pilgrims shoes seen at Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2012 show but the clothes itself is hardly similar to that of the era. It’s as usually hard to choose the most stand-out pieces from the collection.

Thanks to velvet and velour the collection looks winter-y. The coat dresses also add to that feel but beside them there are also long tailored trousers paired with incredible blouses and coats.

Mostly monochrome collection features a pop of color with the red skirt suit with an overlaying black floral pattern, a red lining of an assymetrical black dress, and red elements of a dress resembling a cassock. In fact there are quite a few elements from a cassock featured in the collection.

Most of the outfits are finished with a wide leather belt that defines the waist. It’s a great way to create a silhouette even in the coat looks. The looks in the collection are also accessorized with long pendants and the footwear comes in two styles – ankle boots and over-the-knee leather boots detailed with white frill.

It was announced recently that Alexander McQueen won’t show the Fall 2013 collection during upcoming Paris Fashion Week opting instead to make a private presentation.

Valentino brings monochrome chic enhanced with signature Valentino red and a couple of numbers in washed out floral prints in its extensive Pre-Fall 2013. The line combines clean lines with lace, frills, and fur including red-carpet worthy gowns and dresses.

The collection consists of dresses, suits, and coats in signature Valentino style. The clean lines and sharp silhouettes come in a variety of fabrics. There are patent leather cape and coat, a cocktail dress with sheer sleeves and a white collar, a red skirt suit and a range of accessories. There is also lace, fur, calfskin and a number of other fabrics used in the collection.

Patterns and textures enhance many of the clean-cut minimalistic numbers. The cheetah print can be seen in a red calfskin ensemble and a coat. There is a croc leather black coat with pointed sleeves and one of the neutral ones is covered with floral appliques.

There are also a couple of jumpsuits in the collection as well as skirt and pant separates, blazers, blouses and jackets. The red long-sleeved pleat jumpsuit is more formal as well is the black on with halter neck. A neutral sparkly jumpsuit can make for a red carpet look.

To warm fashionably during the cold season Valentino opts for the fur. There are short-sleeved fur coats and embroidered long fur jackets. The accessories are in a similar style with those in the last collection featuring little spikes and rectangular shapes.

When it comes to dresses the styles are especially modest and refined. High necks, ankle covering length and sheer sleeves are the signature style of Valentino gowns. They come in sparkling embroidery, full and frilled skirts. The short cocktail dresses come with the white collars and cuffs, sheer sleeves and lace bodices or skirts.

Donna Karan’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection is truly something. Clean lines, architectural shapes, and intricate details makes this a very aesthetically-pleasing collection. Pencil skirt is the star of the line. It comes with the cape-like jackets, futuristic and kimono-style blazers. The streamline midi dresses can also be seen in the collection paired with short oxblood leather jackets.

Other jewels in the collection are the architectural dresses with assymetrical skirts and interesting details. There are evening structural frocks as well as cocktail pieces with fuller skirts and mesh stripe details.

Wrap/draped skirts and (jump)suits also make a solid part of the collection. Decorated with cutouts and mesh panels these outfits are not only trendy but also interesting in their own way.

There are a few futuristic puff-sleeved coats that make for an interesting but also elegant look. Their design defines waist but a wide lacquered belt can also aid in this.

There is an amazing but subtle mix of styles. There is minimalism in clean lines, stucturalism in shapes and forms and also Orient style that’s been a hot trend of the season and will continue throughout the Spring.

Also the contrast in fabrics and shapes make for some intriguing silhouettes. The pencil skirt with puffed up leather jacket or an oversize cape-shaped coat with a midi pencil skirt dress are real eye-catchers.

The styling of the outfits is also minimal. The models wear black lacquered pumps and sometimes curious leather cuffs. Of course, the minimal styling shows off the architectural pieces well and make them stand out against the clean lines of minimalist garments.

Alice + Olivia Newest Pre-Fall 2013

Alice + Olivia, a world renowned brand which is headed by the founder of the company, Stacey Bendet, has grown significantly since its launch ten years ago. The brand proves to be very versatile, sexy and specifically suited for the young. This pre-fall 2013 collection offers a fresh look on the season’s highlights, as there is no military infusion, no sharp lines, however we must admit that at some point the collection does have certain bold spots!

Despite the recent retro inspiration that was shown in the Spring 2013 collection of Alice+Olivia, the enthusiasm was lost and took a new approach as Pre-Fall 2013 showcased some stunning pieces, ranging from special classy evening dresses to funky jackets in curios patterns. We must admit that the Alice + Olivia brand features both dresses and daily wear, in skirts, jackets, pants and such.

The pre-fall 2013 is abundant with various prints, and taking into consideration the color choices – the hues are also an exploration of courage, as they all look stunning in combination with black background. And surprisingly, the black background in the most of the pieces give off a great start for the vibrant, colorful touches.

Meanwhile, the collection includes stunning evening dresses, ven the classy red dress, as well as flirty cocktail ones, stylish trousers which range from tartan print knee length shorts to capris, classic/slouchy leather pants and a pair of fab statement palazzo pants. As for the brave patterning, the collection is bursting with energy which is portrayed in many pieces in some graphic and bold prints underlined by a fierce color palettes. Moreover, the fabric choices is also very exciting, such as tweed, lace, leather, chiffon and fur, a total musthave for those like to both flirty and stylish, as well as in comfort.

Extravagant Badgley Mischka for Pre-Fall 2013

Some make Pre-Fall 2013 seem really edgy and military styled, while some designers take this opportunity to make new incredible feminine curves, and Badgley Mischka choose a very specific and surprising theme for their Pre-Fall 2013 collection. They have made an accent on the ancient cultures of Aztecs and Mayans.

While some might say that this collection is too classy, yet Badgley Mischka are doing their best to suit everybody’s style preference in any age group. Perhaps you have noticed the color schemes of the collection, black with bronze, dazzling red and white/beige hues. This is done on purpose to highlight the incredible artwork of ancient Aztecs and Mayan patterns, which draw our attention to the maximum.

Exquisite patterning on the classical designs of the evening gowns and cocktail dress add a certain ethnic flare to the collection. To dedicate the whole collection to the so-called end of the world day is quite daring by itself, yet infuse the collection mostly with ancient tribal Aztec and Mayan patterns is something completely courageous and quite bold, don’t you think? If you are wondering what was on the minds of the creators, Mark Badgley and James Mischka have shared their thoughts on the end of the world day, commenting that “for us, we’re looking at this not as the end, but as a new beginning”!

So, Pre-Fall 2013 of Badgley Mischka proved to be a very extravagant collection, that has to offer evening gowns, as well as little black dress type of outfits, and even a few business like costumes, all in a classical lady like style.

Bottega Veneta combines elegant chic and menswear-inspired clothes in the Pre-Fall 2013 collection. Designed in black, red and mauve colors the collection includes minimalist elegant dresses, black menswear-inspired outfits and red and grey leather ensembles.

Some of the pieces are really an understated elegance. The tight-fitting midi dresses decorated with peplums or frill are elegant but simple with just enough detail to make the piece stand out. Other details in such dresses vary between assymetric necks, cut outs and padded shoulders.

Other pieces are designed in Oriental style with kimono-like sleeves and wrap necks. Some of the dresses come in printed fabrics also decorated with peplums, cut outs and wrap neck.

The menswear-inspired part of the collection features trouser suits with square shoulders, pleats, and tailored wide-leg shorts. Some items look oversize, for instance, ultra long trousers and an overall.

The collection also includes some outerwear. It’s the oversize and kimono-like coats and dressy trenches. They are paired with pleat pants that cover the toes of models’ shoes. The elegant turtleneck sweaters substitute for the absence of big collars in coats. Though in the trenches they are (the collars) are more prominent.

There are also elegant maxi dresses in the line that are both minimalist and bohemian. The floor-length creations come in muted colors with draped skirts and high necks.

One of the jumpsuits in the collection might have a deceptive similarity to a floor-length dress thanks to its wide flowing silhouettes cinched at the waist.

The looks in the collection are accessorized with wide belts, court shoes, and laced-up pumps as well as weaved leather belt bags, mini bags and clutches. Some models wear oversize gloves and leather cuff bracelets. The menswear-inspired footwear can also be seen in some outfits.

The collection is a beautiful mix of femininity and strict silhouettes. The understated elegance translates from colors to the designs that are not too minimalistic but also not too embellished.

Naeem Khan for Pre-Fall 2013

An Indian-born American fashion designer, Naeem Khan is just about to release the new incredible collection for pre-fall for 2013. Remember the trends for the Pre-Fall 2013, with the military style infusions, edgy shapes and weird colors? Well, Naeem Khan doesn’t do any of this, instead he went along with creating an inspiring collection full of evening and cocktail dresses, ranging in colors, but mostly in black palette.

We know that Naeem Khan can be really diverse with the color choices usually, as he shows different color combinations appropriate in other previous collection. Yet, it seems the colors of choice is black, either just slightly visible through the white pattern, or really in full black.

Among other choices are grey, dazzling red, emerald green, snake skin green, and frosty blue. The most striking feature of the collection is that Naeem Khan has chosen to put femininity in the spotlight. All of the pieces are have a distinguishable geometric and floral patterns.

The daytime pieces diversify the collection, yet the evening gowns definitely steal the spotlight. Whether we’re talking about sequins or intricate embroideries, such pieces are the epitome of elegance and sophistication. There are a set of strapless gowns, with sparkling effects, which make you the goddess for at least a day (or nighttime)!

Certainly this collection stands out from the previous Pre-Fall 2013 collections we have observed so far, as it makes display of femininity as its major strength. As you have notices, there are practically no accessories, and hair styles are kept to the minimum to avoid any distractions from these gorgeous dresses.

Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection is all elegance and sophistication. Well-tailored and designed in retro aesthetics the clothes is so feminine and beautiful. Consisting of cocktail dress, pencil skirt ensembles and feminine coats this Pre-Fall line is simply gorgeous.

The elegance of the collection can be seen in each cut and the tailoring. The pieces are fitting and yet there are volumionus balloon sleeves in some of the designs and pleated tulip skirts.

The collection is designed in dark autumnal colors with pops of beautiful bright turquoise in coats, tops, pants, and dresses. The color is very refreshing for the cold season and pairs great with olive green that is also used widely in the collection.

The leopard print is one of the key elements of the collection. It is used in dresses and coats and also smaller elements like gloves, collars, bags, and shoes. It’s paired with the bright turquoiuse as well as darker colors like olive green, dark mustard and, of course, black.

The outfits are accessorized with the dramatic long leather gloves and leopard-printed gloves that add a sophisticated touch to them. The wide big-buckle belt is also a key accessory paired with the dresses and coats alike.

Oversize shapes are still an element of the collection being a big trend this year. The balloon-shaped sleeves and big coats make nice contrast with tailored trousers, and slimming pencil skirts.

The collection also includes a selection of warm tops and elegant sweaters that go well with the elegant pencil and A line skirts and some skirt and trouser suits in printed and leather fabrics.

The outerwear also includes cropped fur jackets with 3/4 sleeves that are just right for the dramatic elbow-long leather and leopard gloves. One of the oversize coats features leopard cuffs and a sewn in scarf.

Tory Burch Goes Military Feminine for Pre-Fall 2013

The next 2013 year seem to be full of military influences, as mentioned by Burch: “We haven’t done military recently. And I was kind of missing it”. However, Tory Burch made this her own way, adding distinguishable embroidery practically in every piece! Despite the lacking splashing and bursting colors, the collection looks really retro and yet somehow really feminine and elegant. Elegance might be achieved through the strict lines that seem to be a distinguishable feature of the collection.

Overall the Pre-Fall 2013 collection can boast of a plentiful of intriguing pieces, among which are beautiful dresses and skirts, but also pants and some stunning coats, jacquards, rhinestones, florals, and look-at-me-now, bold beading, as well as jewelry goodies, bags and shoes! Tory confessed that behind this beautiful collection is inspiration in her family history. She recalls turning to pictures of her family and looking for some exceptional piece, among which was a military coat, and her dad’s unique way of dressing.

“For Pre-Fall 2013, we were inspired by an officer’s jacket my mother wore and handed down to me…My father had impeccable style. He designed all of his own clothing. I think he should have been a designer”.

Tory Burch seem to be at peace with the world renowned brand name she has created, and to share this inspiration with you, she tells the readers to:
