Gaetano Perrone Spring/ Summer 2012 shoe collection comes in neutral and pastel colors. Designs are feminine and elegant, very classy. Materials used are matte and shining leather, suede and snakeskin. If I were asked to describe Prada shoe collection for Spring/ Summer 2012 fashion season I would say ‘impetuosity’ and ‘brightness’. The entire collection includes elements which remind us of incredible speed and adrenaline rush that one experiences while riding on such speed.

Prada shoe collection for Spring/ Summer 2012 is very diverse. You can find heeled shoes, wedges, sandals, and even flip flops. All are made in patent or snakeskin leather.

Maybe it just seems to me that every new season Christian Louboutin presents even more attractive designs or I’m simply falling more and more in love with his shoes, I don’t know… But the Spring/ Summer 2012 shoe collection is the perfect for me.

Christian Louboutin Spring/ Summer 2012 collection almost entirely consists of shoes for special occasions, those which come adorned with sequins, beading and crystals. Some are even made with thorn details.

Made with the use of matt and patent leather, snakeskin and satin the shoes all come in classic shapes and rather bright colors. There are pink, aquamarine, yellow, red and even multicolored shoes.

My favorite pair in Christian Louboutin Spring/ Summer 2012 collection is the golden one with beautiful bow-element with encrusted jewels in front. This design comes in two styles – classic pumps (which have won my heart the moment I saw them) and flats.

Manolo Blahnik shoes don’t actually need any praise because we all know how wonderful they are. But it is really difficult to resist saying at least a few good words about them. If we take the Spring/ Summer 2012 collection what we have to pay attention to is the variety of styles and abundance of bright colors.

Styles in Manolo Blahnik Spring/ Summer 2012 shoe collection differ from flat sandals which are perfect for walking long distances to sky-high heels that look wonderful with luxurious evening dresses. Majority of shoes come in classic forms and with an average length of heel. But there are more eccentric designs which can become the focus of outfits rather than the finishing details.

Manolo Blahnik Spring/ Summer 2012 shoe collection features a lot of Spring/ Summer 2012 shoe trends: transparency, floral print, bright colors, unusual heels and color blocking.

If we speak about the colors, the scheme is totally crazy. The designer has used neon yellow, blue, red, green, pink hues as well as neutral black, beige, and white tones.

Comfort of Manolo Blahnik shoes deserves special mentioning. Unlike Christian Louboutin shoes Blahnik’s creations are always very comfortable to wear. In a recent interview to Vogue the designer said:

Design is important, but comfort is paramount. Shoes should be extravagant but comfortable. I want women to be able to walk around in them all day. I have never had a woman tell me that she can’t walk in my shoes. I also hate shoes that are out of anyone’s price range. It’s obscene for anyone to have to pay too much for footwear.”

I totally agree with him. I love shoes more than anything in fashion but when I can’t walk in them more than 15 minutes I feel miserable.

Nicholas Kirkwood’s inspiration for his Spring/ Summer 2012 shoe collection were the florals and tropical brights. Being on a vacation on Bali in August the designer realized he wanted to do something less edgy and aggressive. What he wanted were the softer hues, delicate patterns and comfier designs.

Nicholas Kirkwood commented:

[It] was my first holiday since starting the business seven years ago. And I came back wanting to do something more colorful and a little softer than before.”

The collection is indeed much softer than Nicholas Kirkwood’s previous ranges. It includes a variety of styles featuring sexy pumps, sandals with chunky heels and very comfortable flats.

Despite the fact Nicholas Kirkwood liked the new twist in his Spring/ Summer 2012 shoe collection I wasn’t that much impressed. I came to know the designer for his deep colors and daring shapes. And I still like him for that. I hope it was just a short break in his job, simply a more relaxed approach to work. And I do hope that he soon returns to that great energy he used to put into his creations which made me a true fan of his.

Xti brand has presented us a new lookbook for their Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection. The pictures feature a Russian model Irina Shayk (Check out Irina Shayk’s profile!) posing with a handsome guy in a room (the corner, to be precise) with a wooden floor and dull walls. Both have little clothing on and wear boots from Xti latest collection. Despite the fact the pairs are really plain both models look good in those.

And while I’m not much impressed with the shoe line I like the garments both Irina Shayk and the secret man are wearing for Xti Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 Shoe campaign. Pieces are comfy and stylish and they are all wardrobe must-haves which means we can combine them with plenty of other stuff we have.

Brian Atwood shoes are very popular with the celebrities and fashionistas and it’s not wonder. The shoes are gorgeous. Despite my dislike for fringe and the fact that the leopard print has become an eyesore the Fall/Winter 2011/2012 shoe collection looks bold and extensive. There are many bold statement pairs as well as more classic evening shoes.

Trendy suede, satin, fur, calfskin, reptile skins, and leather are all there. The shoes come in bold fuchsia, electric blue, bright purple and red hues. Many pairs are detailed with studs and ribbon lacing. The styles are also quite diverse. There are sandals, pumps, peep-toe heels, over ankle booties, and thigh-high boots.

Decorated heels seem to be trendy as well. Brian Atwood chose to decorate his heels with stud details and fringe. Slinky metallic heels look chic and sophisticated making shoes look even more feminine and fragile. I love the bold shoes in this collection. Blue reptile skin pumps (main pic), fuchsia suede and calfskin heels, and nude pumps and studded ankle booties.

If you are not into heels the collection includes a range of bold flats featured in leopard print calfskin and blush satin and suede. These are decorated with black ribbon detail and come in a peep toe style. As for the thigh-high boots, these come in solid autumnal colors – black, gray, and dark green. Some feature slinky gold metallic heel while others feature the same stud details and a more chunky heel.

Some pairs combine suede and satin, reptile skin and leather, suede or leather and fur. Fur is big this season so it is also used to decorate boots and heels. What is your favorite pair?

Jason Wu footwear collection for Fall/Winter 2011/2012 is gorgeous. Sleek and elegant designs make it perfect for evening wear yet there are some eye catchy details that won’t make these shoes go unnoticed. Made from satin, calfskin or lacquered leather they all have something else to show off like a spike sleek heel or a metallic detail on that spot where the heel gets scratched most of all. As opposed to Jason Wu‘s Spring/Summer 2011 futuristic footwear collection of mostly heeled platform shoes the Fall/Winter 2011/2012 collection looks classy and tamed down, yet it’s not plain.

The Fall/Winter 2011/2012 styles that Jason Wu offers us come in classic black but also in an array of bold satin hues as well as gold foil finish. There are sandals, pumps, and ankle booties that come with heel or strap details. Abby ankle boots though come with jewelry detail at the hem and same metallic detail on the heel.

The satin range Frida comes in an extensive color palette. There are classic black and nude, but also mustard, deep red, electric blue and turquoise. A nice addition to this classic evening footwear is that it comes with metal spike heels. Shoes in golden foil finish come in pump and sandal styles in Heloise and Catherine series. If you like the calfskin finish there is a pair of black pumps in Heloise range and ankle booties in Abby in deep red hue. Lacquered finish can be found in Catherine and Heloise ranges in pointed deep red sandal with a black spike heel and deep red pump (first picture above) with black heel detail.

There are quite a few trends in Jason Wu Fall/Winter 2011/2012 collection. Spike heels are definitely on trend the upcoming season as well as satin and calfskin. The models at Jason Wu Fall 2011 RTW fashion show have worn these shoes with dotted pantyhose or bare feet with such outfits as classic creased trousers, midi A-line and full skirts, cocktail and evening maxi dresses.

It features lots of styles, from sexy stilettos to comfy and casual loafers. It is essential to note that Oscar de la Renta Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 shoe range includes many pairs with kitten or medium-sized heels which seem to be returning to vogue again.

The detailing that makes Oscar de le Renta Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 shoe collection very special is the fur trimming, sequins and stones embellishment, embroidery, the use of lace and lacing. And the color scheme is interesting. The designer uses quite a lot of grey and black, which do not look boring at all. And pink and violet dilute the neutrals perfectly.
