Hayden Panettiere for Lucky August 2009

The actress of the currently released romantic comedy I Love You, Beth Cooper, 19-year-old Hayden Panettiere covers Lucky August 2009.

She is barely over five feet tall and she says

There are all these little tricks that make such a difference,” she says. “Like being conscious of when a shoe cuts me off at the ankle so it doesn’t shorten my legs.”

She talks about pink color:

How can you not love this color? It just makes me happy,”

The shape is conservative, but the shade is totally fun.”

Also she talks about tips that help her to look taller and her 86 must have items.

Diane Von Furstenberg’s Perfume Makes People Sick

Diane Von Furstenberg’s new perfume D Eau de Parfum is something women would not like to wear since it makes people around feel unwell.

The scent problem appeared when the designer decided to make everyone know about her new scent by pumping the fragrance from the air vents at her store in the city’s fashion-forward Meatpacking District.

The reaction was far from what had been expected. People claimed they started feeling bad after walking past the store.

One woman told the New York Post newspaper:

I literally got dizzy from this. It is putrid, awful, something you’d find on a 60-year-old matron.
“She has got some nerve wafting this out of her store. There is a point at which these peoples’ egos and chutzpah absolutely begin to take over any sense of reality or consideration for other people.”

Another woman said the scent is so overpowering outside the exclusive West 14th Street boutique that she thinks someone might fall ill.

Betsey Johnson will NOT Retire

There were some rumors about Betsey Johnson’s plans to retire after her September show. But the designer has denied all those saying she will work until she is unable to do so.

She said:

I will never retire while I’ve still got my legs and my make-up box.”

In addition the Betsey Johnson fashion house commented:

With rich history and significant opportunities for future growth, Betsey Johnson wants her brand to live on forever. It is only wise that key management and talent is put in place to secure the continued health of the company for the future. Betsey Johnson will continue to provide creative inspiration and leadership as long as she is with us.”

All the rumors appeared after Betsey’s statement in a recent interview with NY Magazine that she might consider retiring soon. These are her actual words:

I should be retired. I’m basically screwing up because I’m not retired. I’d like to go in four days a month, something like that.

My partner and I, we both want to know what would it be like to get up in the morning and go, ‘What do I do today?’

So, it’s good news for those who love Betsey Johnson’s creations. Among those there are many celebrities including Courtney Love, Minnie Driver, Heather Graham and others.

Madonna’s New Line for All Ages

Madonna has teamed up with French fashion designer Christian Audigier to create a new clothing collection intended for “seven-year-olds to 77-year-olds”.

Christian is no less excited about the collaboration than the pop star queen:

Madonna and I are working on a new project called The Material Girl Project and I’m going to be a partner with her on it.

It’s going to come out, in September, when it’s back to school time. So we are working on different designs and samples right now, so we’re going to have most of that done at the end of the summer.

It’s going to be for everyone, all ages. We’re going for everyone, from seven-year-olds to 77-year-olds. We’re not excluding anybody.”

Christian - who has an eponymous label and has worked for the Von Dutch and Ed Hardy labels - is now in London to unveil his new collection of champagne and wines. He says he likes how Madge has thrown herself into the collaboration. According to him the singer is full of great ideas and knows clearly what she wants to have in the line.

David and Victoria Beckham together for Armani ads

We all remember the ads for Emporio Armani by David and Victoria Beckham. Hot, sexy and very glamorous.

The next step to promote Armani Fall 2009 underwear is the new seductive photoshoot by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

David and Victoria Beckham strip down again. They united the famous A-list family for another step of super sexy advertisement for the new Autumn/Winter 2009/2010 Emporio Armani Underwear collection, shooted in Milan.

The pics are made in the style of previous ads - black and white colors, shining bodies, extremely sleek hairstyles.

The new photos will be not only in fashion magazines, but also on major billboards in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, London, Milan, Rome, Paris and Tokyo starting in July.

Kim Kardashian’s wordrobe for charity again

Kim Kardashian puts her wardrobe for charity on eBay. Has she run out of spare place for new clothes in her closet or is this really her wish to help people?

So, if you want to dress un in her outfits, choose her accessories for your style and wear her new shoes you can enjoy her sales on eBay. And with your purchasing you will help the first national wish granting organization for adults suffering from life-limiting illness, called Dream Foundation. Kim said that she has size 2, but she doesn’t look like this size, does she?

The socialite and Keeping Up with the Kardashians star puts select pieces of new and gently used outfits up on eBay to help benefit the
Foundation.

Kim says,

I love to be able to pass along some of my favorite pieces to someone else who will get to enjoy them as much as I have. I even have many items I never had a chance to where yet. A few times a year, I bring my outfits, shoes, and accessories to Auction Cause who puts them on eBay for me.”

DSquared 2 Fall-Winter 2009-2010 Ad Campaign

DSquared2 is a label that offers us extravagancy not only in their outfits but in ad pics too. The Autumn-winter 2009-2010 ad campaign is a proof to my words.

Keeping that in mind we are not surprised they chose a fabulous Dutch model Lara Stone to be the face of the campaign.

The photoshoot was made by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and is really great. The photos for Fall 2009 feature the so-called glitz and glam of three young men and a young woman out and about at night. High contrast of black and white was chosen intentionally to show glamour and decadence all together.

Oxford Street launches high street fashion week

Oxford Street in London is known as the world’s most famous shopping street. And soon it is going to be famous for one more thing – the first high street fashion week will be held there.

Leading retailers including Debenhams, Uniqlo, John Lewis and Topman have already signed on for the event and talks are in progress with other major household names such as Selfridges, Topshop, Marks & Spencer and Miss Selfridge.

The event is planned to start on Monday, September 7th. But before that there is a lot to do.

In August, Oxford Street shoppers will be asked to vote for the celebrity they like best to choose a “High Street Queen”. The winner will play an important part in the fashion week.

Among other events we can name workshops, fashion shows, makeovers, late-night shopping and in-store promotions.

Justin Timberlake likes women looking feminine

Justin Timberlake says he likes women wearing feminine clothes.

The women in Los Angeles dress like boys. Here in London, you see a lot more of that tailored, sharp look that New York women have.”

Trace Ayala, his William Rast design partner, added:

He’s right. British girls dress pretty sharp - in America people tend to wear their clothes looser.”

The ‘SexyBack’ singer, whose new collection was launched in London store Selfridges on June 29th, says he prefers a smarter look and doesn’t like it when ladies wear loose, casual clothing.
