Colors play an important role in our life. Depending on the occasion we choose to wear a garment of dark serious hue or bright lively one.
With the help of colors we can create the most sophisticated or the worst ever look. Season after season color palette that is in vogue changes and to be on modern lines we need to know which hues are popular and which have lost its significance already.
Here I’ll tell you about the trendiest tints and patterns for spring 2009.
Yellow shadows
Many designers have chosen yellow and all yellow tints imaginable for their men’s collections. As for me I do not understand why men should give preference to yellowy hues in spring, the season when everything becomes bright and dynamic.

Though despite all this, many collections - including the ones by Prada, Burberry Prorsum, Alexander McQueen and others - are based on this color, some of them look nice, some dull.

Choose the one you like best.
Flesh tones
Alexander McQueen, Jill Sanders, Salvatore Ferragamo, Burberry Prorsum and others used plenty of flesh tones in their lines. The models look very elegant and office-like.

If you like restrained colors this trend is for you, no abundant décor or details, just pure sophistication.
White color
White is represented mostly in Calvin Klein’s collection. It’s nice and chic. The models in white are very different in style: from evening suits to ordinary T-shirts and shorts.

The British Rehab singer Amy Winehouse is currently in talks with iconic British label Fred Perry and has already started sketching out a few of her own range of shirts.

The songtress often wears the label’s trade-mark polo shirts and a source told the Sun that she couldn’t help talking about the possible deal while she is on holiday in St Lucia.
The spectator explained: “She was almost childishly excited and couldn’t stop talking about it.”
“She is looking better and doesn’t seem to be drinking that much.”
A spokesperson for Fred Perry declined to comment.

Kate Moss keeps on posing for ‘Just Cavalli’ ad campaigns. As you probably remember she’s been the face for autumn-winter campaign and it is no wonder she graces the new spring-summer 2009
campaign as well.

And she is not alone this time. Justin Gaston, who is called Mr. Miley Cyrus for his close relationship with a teen celeb, appears lying under Kate with his head chopped off.
Justin’s modeling agency Vision Model Management booked the job back in November. He is reported to have been paid 500 dollars for that, but I think he didn’t actually earn the sum, as his face isn’t even seen at the picture.
I guess ‘Just Cavalli’ would have been able to find plenty of other men who would agree to be with Kate there just for free!!!
The campaign was shot in Los Angeles by famed photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot.

I guess men are aware of the fact that lots of women like to see their partners wearing suits. It’s a common dream that has been in girl’s minds for years, if not centuries.

Suits in 2009 and 2010 are as classic as they can be but there are still plenty of things you have to take into an account when choosing a perfect suit for yourself.
Shoulder Length
Actually there are two main types of suits marked out when talking about shoulder padding - British and Italian (or American).

Personally I like the first, as the shoulder padding extends a bit over the shoulder itself and then rolls down into a sleeve, thus making men’s shoulders look broader. It’s a visual trick. As for the Italian and American type – the shoulder padding ends precisely when the shoulder bone does. So, it’s up to you to decide which of them suits you best.
Number of buttons
The number of buttons a single-breasted suit jacket should have is a matter of personal preference, but think of the following:
• The more buttons the suit has the taller the man wearing it looks – it’s again a visual trick.
• One button has been a fashion trend for a row of seasons and this spring it is still very popular. However, remember that it will look perfect on you only if you are at least 6′ 2″. In case you are shorter prefer a suit with more buttons.

• Two buttons seem the best. It slims the waist, is good about height and really classic.

• Three buttons create a much leaner look but it’s harder to pull off. This type of suits was popular in the 90s of the last century and has made a great comeback this season.
• Four buttons and more. Well, it can be a choice and it is a trend of this season but the model itself doesn’t look very well. Think twice before buying such a suit.

Christina Aguilera is said to be drawing out contract details for designing a new fashion range for British clothing store Top Shop.

The blond bombshell would earn a million pounds per range by designing that for the store owned by Sir Philip Green.
Christina is in no way going to replace Top Shop designer Kate Moss, whose models would share the space with those of the singer’s.
Sir Philip is believed to have started talks with Christina and hopes to sign a deal soon. She has already visited his offices in London and they are discussing the details.
Philip likes her style and is sure the girl would add something new to TopShop.

While winter reigns we have to think about spring garments. Time passes quickly and two cold months will soon be over. Designers have already presented their collections, some classic and some exotic. And it’s up to you to choose what you are going to wear this spring.
Of course, the financial crisis has affected us greatly but women want to look stylish in any circumstances that’s why I am here to tell you what the hot spring trends are.
Soft floral prints are in no way out of fashion.

They are IN fashion and it cannot be in a different way. High sophistication of floral dresses, skirts and blouses the designers have presented for us in their spring lines make any woman look pretty feminine and chic, no matter where she wears such patterns.

Unlike loud patterns of the past, Spring ‘09 brings prints that are super feminine, subtle enough to not be overwhelming and not too girly.

Since “I Kissed a Girl” star appeared at the stage she’s become a real fashion icon. Many girls worldwide imitate her style and want to look as brilliant as the singer.

If you like this girl too and would like to look like she these tips are for you:
• Katy Perry loves accessories - big, bright and bold. Wear large belts, beautiful pins, flowers in your hair, fingerless gloves, and classic parasols. All of these pieces will help you create your own unique “Katy Perry” style.
• Strapless dress is another singer’s staple. Fun, flirty vintage 1940s and 1950s style dresses that show cleavage will be the perfect choice.
The more you accentuate your waist the better. Add feminine, floral patterns and designs to finish your look.
• Dress in hot a la Katy Perry pants and halter tops. Accessorize your look with red pumps, massive dangling earrings and high, big hair.

• Combine vintage items with modern ones. Katy Perry likes the style of the 1940s and 1950s, but she successfully mixes it up with modern pieces by Betsey Johnson and Chanel.
• Get inspiration from rock and pop musicians like Shirley Manson from Garbage, Joan Jett, Cyndi Lauper and others.
Katy takes some pieces from their lovely styles and adapt them to her own wardrobe.
By following these simple tips you’ll be able to look as bright and extraordinary as Katy. Good luck girls!
