The new collection of shoes (for Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 fashion season) from Manolo Blahnik is hard to overestimate. It is diverse, interesting and simply gorgeous. Some of the pairs are sexy and elegant, with high heels and feminine shapes. Others are less catchy but more comfortable. And there are those which look funny and remind of a circus.
I love the elegant part of the Manolo Blahnik Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection. Shoes come in reserved but beautiful colors. Detailing is neat and stylish and the silhouette of pieces looks fabulous. Materials are different. There is a lot of matte and patent leather, suede, fur, satin and other fabrics.
The comfier part of the Manolo Blahnik Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection features shorter heels and wedges. Prints are lovely and range from the trendy black-and-white leopard to playful and daring stripes and polka dots.
And there are pairs that look a bit out of place in such a wonderful collection by Manolo Blahnik. For example, the pair of shoes in a classic style looks awful with the use of blue fur. Do all talented minds sometimes create unattractive things?
