Great news for girls who love high heels! French designer Raphael Young has created a shoe that is sky-high and as comfortable as a flat shoe. Made with a flexible sole the shoe is said to have revolutionized shoe manufacture.
Raphael Young is so sure his invention will become a hit that he has patented it. ‘R-Flex’ shoes contain steel inserts in heels, a latex gel injection in leather soles and a rubber injection under balls of the feet. Besides, there is an ‘anti-twisting steel accessory’ which is intended to hold the shoe steadily and prevent the ankle from twisting.
Of course Raphael Young’s new creation can’t be cheap. You’ll have to invest up to £400 ($660) to get a pair but according to adverts it is worth it. You can wear the shoes all day long without ever feeling pain in your feet. Sounds a bit unreal)))
Mr Young said he had been planning to create comfortable shoes for 12 years. He wanted to make a shoe that would be more flexible and mimic the wearer’s natural walk.
The designer said:
[The factory] was manufacturing comfort shoes, almost ortho- paedic shoes, where the owner explained that he was looking for a solution to make the shoes more flexible, which could give real comfort if the shoes could accompany the natural movement of the walk. After trials and tests in the factory, I found the technical solution to make shoes as flexible and comfy as a ballerina pump. We patented it.”
The designer’s website describes R-Flex range as ‘dramatically improving the comfort and flexibility of the shoe while keeping an external look similar to any other standard shoe’.
