It usually takes us forever to decide on what to wear to some fancy event. Men don’t understand either our panic or anxiety, but we, girls, take it very seriously when it comes to choosing a decent outfit. We would check all the shops around and drive those poor sales assistants up the wall. All of our female friends would rather blast off to the Moon than spend another hour of help-me-to-choose-between-these-nine-dresses torture. Eventually, after a month of Sundays, we would come up with a nice frock, but that’s the whole thing. It is not gorgeous or beautiful or stunning, it is just nice. What’s the point of that everlasting search for nothing – one might wonder. We have a survival need to shine and charm is my answer. But sometimes we don’t quite get there and end up being totally overshadowed by someone more fabulous. And then comes frustration… I have found a perfect cure to this illness, ladies. Don’t even try to look for it in a drugstore. Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 Couture collection is the magic medicine I am talking about. Quite a long name for a pill, but you can handle it!

There must be something in the Lebanese culture that raises such a strong aesthetic appreciation we can spot in both Zuhair Murad’s and Elie Saab’s works. To be honest, it was some kind of deja vu that hit me, when I saw Murad’s collection. Those floor-length gowns embroidered and embellished; models’ hair twisted in buns; and a bride closing the show – I have already seen it somewhere. But there is a difference, pretty obvious to anyone’s eye. Zuhair Murad offers a bolder style, elegant yet edgy. Hairstyle is not that sleek, eyes are heavily lined, and it is not all about classic gowns. Sheer panels, cut-outs, and thigh-high slits add some alternative zest to the whole collection.

A bodysuit along with a fur mantle over creates a very contradictory image. On one hand, we see a sophisticated woman with an exquisite taste, who wears fur in a casual manner. On the other hand, she pairs it with a sheer suit, revealing more than it covers, so matter-of-factly as if it was something ordinary to do. Well, if this is her way to impress people, why not? It is all about being in love with herself, after all.

A blue turtleneck dress with long sleeves – classically boring? It might have been, if it wasn’t all see-through. If you wear such a frock, it will be pretty hard to tell what people are apprising – the dress or your voluptuous curves. Either way, it is worth to try and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

A beautiful strapless mermaid gown in silver attracts attention of thousands of people. I would totally opt for this dress, if I had to attend a fashionable party. For one reason, I love bustier dresses the most. Another thing that I adore about this awesome piece of clothing is its intricate design as well as the color choice.

And, of course, the wedding dress – how can I miss it out? This gown is much more wearable than that of Elie Saab, but it is also more casual, if this term is applicable to a wedding dress. Yes, it is gorgeous, but I don’t see anything new here. Lace, train, and a classic white color all sound too cliché.

Anyway, all the collection pieces are magnificent in their design. Whatever show you are planning to attend, you will definitely find a dress of your dream. And it is not going to take you a week to make up your mind. Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 Couture dress is easy to fall in love with and hard to forget. So make sure you empty some room in your closet for one of these splendid gowns.
