DSquared2 Fall Winter 2013-2014 RTW

Oversized bows and puffed bowler hats set the tone of this striking collection with the masculine feel.

The talented duo Dean and Dan Caten presented the DSquared2 fall winter 2013-2014 RTW collection during the Milan Fashion Week.

The DSquared2 team commented on the collection:

The whole idea is that this is a black and white photograph and the models are characters and so the only ones in color.

They added:

The Forties is in the air. We’re really into double-breasted and to us that says Forties.

This fall winter 2013-2014 RTW collection is an analogue to its menswear collection that was presented in January. It seemed like the models on the catwalk stole men’s garments from their boyfriends’ wardrobes to appear in the total masculine style. The models wore the puffed bowler hats on their heads along with the garments with the mannish tailoring. The bow ties were oversized and the waist was always belted, while the dresses, pant suits and even military-styled uniforms were decorated in some way.

As for the special occasion garments, the models appeared on the catwalk looking like the femme fatale wearing the floor-length gowns with rich embellishment performed in the lavender and beige shades. Their trailing stretched behind the wearers in the elegant way. The evening gowns were complemented by the fur bolero that fell on the shoulders in the seductive way.

Dean and Dan said on the evening attire:

She’s a glamorous girl meets the masculine man.
