Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana never do things by halves. If they decide to play with letters nothing can stop them from doing that. And here we are with that funny and youthful Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection (unveiled during Milan Fashion Week), covered with letters all over. Separate and unrelated letters, combined in words and even sensible and often amusing phrases.

The colors are bright and mood-improving: neon orange, lettuce green, lemon yellow, variety of pinks and a bit of black. I would never say this range has been created by D&G for the Fall and Winter. During these months we normally opt for more reserved tones, don’t we? Time to change habits?
Plenty of cute airy dresses, warm tunics, stylish and almost classic jackets (everything about them says you can wear it to the office, but the lining is covered with letters, it is splashed with letters!)))) terrific accessories and very comfy sneakers… Yes, sneakers!!! Sneakers with dresses and all the other garments. Not a single outfit was worn with shoes in D&G Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection.
To tell you the truth I’m not a fan of such clothing myself, I prefer to stick to a more elegant style. However, I just can’t help admiring the looks. These garments will be ideal for young girls. Perfect!

There are lots of culprits, but cold is the No.1 supcest. When temperatures drop, we stay inside. Our metabolisms slow to a crawl and we pack on the pounds. But the conspiracy runs deeper than that. During the winter, we forgo low-calorie snacks for prepackaged, high-fat delights like chips, nuts and crackers. We also get less sunlight, which makes us feel down in the dumps. To combat those feelings, we gobble up carbohydrates, fats and sugars, which make us feel better. Some doctors believe that we’re genetically programmed to gain weight when it gets chilly. Your body may be working against you to hang on to it so you stay warm,” said Lawrence Cheskin, MD, founder of the Johns Hopkins Weight Management Center in Baltimore, in an interview with Prevention magazine.Fat is a great insulator and it really does a great job of keeping you warm. Before the days of forced air heating and good insulation, a few extra pounds could mean the difference between life and death. For most of us, however, freezing to death isn’t really a problem. We want to look and feel good.
- I\’ll believe the -12! it looks cold. But I think it was worth binrvag the weather because it\’s a lovely shot especially the use of the slow shutter speed to make the water look like ice.
