When I think about creating a collection around a bandage dress I have very few ideas. So I feel great respect to Max and Lubov Azria who can re-invent their signature design for Herve Leger again and again and do it so successfully that each time we find their ranges fresh and interesting. For Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 fashion season the creative duo took equestrienne motifs as inspiration and made the collection quite different from what they usually do.
There were new shapes – fuller skirts, new prints – fish-bone, chain-links, and new details – leather harnesses fastened around shoulders and waists, fringe and fur.
Herve Leger by Max Azria Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 collection looked very different from their usual ranges. It wasn’t as feminine and sexy but there was something that attracted a lot. And that was great. By the way, by using such bolder designs Max and Lubov Azria significantly expanded their target audience by adding younger ladies to it.
