We all know that Roberto Cavalli isn’t the designer who focuses on minimalistic ideas. All he creates is usually chic and grand, no matter what that is – clothes, shoes, bags or even fashion shows. But for Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 he overtopped himself. He showcased the most luxurious collection he had ever designed before.
Roberto Cavalli Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 collection was mesmerizing. And I am not exaggerating since every piece that was shown looked incredible and definitely had taken plenty of time to make. Python was painted with big cat motifs, mink was printed with python, glossy ponyskin was turned into scaly croc, etc.
Not only prints were amazing in Roberto Cavalli’s Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 collection. The fabrics themselves were pretty unusual. For example, the bubble skirts that appeared in the beginning of the show were made of fabrics covered with fur that was pieced together like feathers. Or the t-shirts that were showcased with these skirts – they were so densely beaded that looked like a new kind of reptile skin.
