Despite the fact Mary Katrantzou is young and she is rather new to fashion industry when compared to designers who’ve been with us for years and even decades, her talent and unusual shows attract attention of people who know fashion inside out, those who understand that what Katrantzou does nobody else can.

Mary Katrantzou’s Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 collection unveiled during London Fashion Week was the result of a dip into the English history (specifically Elizabethan England), “crossing into the territory of costume”, and the use of things people tend to not notice in their everyday lives – the result both amazing a little too complicated to fully grasp.
Mary Katrantzou created pieces with strong, often sharp, silhouettes, bold prints (clocks, grass, forks and spoons as well as a typewriters), and lovely colors (which were less bright this time).

Speaking about colors separately we can mention that it was the first time Mary Katrantzou used tones more carefully and thoughtfully. She didn’t block contrasted hues. Instead, she made them change each other gradually and beautifully.
