Well, after Jean Paul Gaultier’s Spring 2012 Haute Couture collection, which was controversial and fantastic at the same time, Pre-Fall 2012 range looks very demure and unimaginative, though it is not really true. If we look closer we will see plenty of interesting and quite practical pieces to wear in colder seasons.
Accessories in Jean Paul Gaultier Pre-Fall 2012 collection seemed more appealing to me than clothing. Leather gloves (which are a great hit now) came in a variety of colors (black, nude, scarlet red) and lengths (very short and almost elbow-length). Mannish belts, ties, wide chain necklaces – all looked stylish and sexy. Knee-high and ankle boots as well as platformed sneakers were pretty rough in shapes and materials but teamed with garments in men’s style they looked rather harmonious.
Speaking about clothing from Jean Paul Gaultier Pre-Fall 2012 collection I can’t say I was impressed, but considering the fact I love elegant fashion I might not simply understand such designs.
