Oscar de la Renta presented his Pre-Fall 2013 collection with a runway show a few days ago showcasing the colorful tweed, mixed prints and the evening gowns. The feminine silhouettes are the focus of the collection. They come in midi full skirts, cropped tweed jackets, high-waisted tailored trousers as well as streamline and full-skirt gowns.
There are many day and cocktail dresses in the collection made of various fabrics including tweed and featuring patterns and prints. The streamline silhouettes come along full skirt and tulip dresses.
The collection also includes skirt suits with short-sleeved or cropped jackets as well as pant ensembles. The classic trousers with pleats look feminine and there are also trendy cropped pants in tailored designs that are both stylish and elegant.
Collection’s color palette ranges from monochrome tones to trendy emerald green and bright orange. There are also more neutral and light tones like gray and pale pink. Blue and aqua can also be seen in the collection’s gowns and tweed ensembles.
Prints and patterns are a big part of the collection. There are small scale patterns that are easily mixed together in one ensemble. There are abstract and polka dot prints and patterns as well as floral embellishments.
Dresses and gowns feature various sparkly embellishments as well as voluminous fabric details. They are decorated with sequins, feathers, bows and frill, as well as thin belts with decorative buckles.
The gowns come in midi length, fish tail style, and with full skirts. The only exception is this beaded metallic dress in old Hollywood style. Classic and simply beautiful.
The collection has many beautiful pieces like the blush chiffon dress and printed satin skirt in orange and turquoise, an emerald green puffy sleeve jacket or an aqua sequined feather-y cocktail dress. What do you think about Oscar de la Renta’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection?
