Mark Badgley and James Mischka are among my favorite fashion designers and every time they release a new collection I examine each single piece with great pleasure, because no matter what they do it looks flawless. As if these two men knew what we, women, would want to wear… However, they did disappoint a little with their Resort/ Pre-Spring 2013 collection.
The inspiration for Badgley Mischka Resort/ Pre-Spring 2013 collection was The Great Gatsby and two amazing ladies – Mia Farrow and Carey Mulligan. With these in mind the two fashion geniuses created a number of cocktail and evening dresses. And while some looked really fabulous and chic (for example, the pale gold floor-sweeping gown with a front split and lacing on the sides or a black knee-length dress with feathers on the sleeves), others failed to impress. The bright magenta frock with a red belt and baloon sleeves seemed to be the worst.
