I usually don’t understand the attractiveness of Givenchy garments. They just don’t appeal to me. I don’t know what pushes me off, maybe the silhouettes, weird shapes, extravagant accessories… But exactly these look really great to me in their Resort/ Pre-Spring 2013 collection.
Inspired by gypsy culture and scarf prints Riccardo Tisci was able to design a range which is both stylish and fresh, youthful and classic. Composed of capelike outfits, belted evening dresses, slouchy sarouel pants, and tops and jackets in alsmot architectural forms the brand’s Resort/ Pre-Spring 2013 collection is pretty wearable and totally commercial.
In the interview on the phone before the collection was unveiled Riccardod Tisci said it was “romantic, but with a sharpness.” No one can say better.
