Vera Wang’s woman is modern, exqusite and very feminine, so all the items the designer created for her Resort 2011 collection look exactly like this. Modern tendencies are combined with classic details and in the result we have sophisticated womanly pieces.
Vera Wang described her designs as “fellini-inspired play clothes”. The range includes pretty cocktail dresses, drop-crotch pants, assymetrical tops, sheer cardigans and peep-toe ankle boots.
Some outfits looked strange but generally elegant. For example, a black dress topped by a coat and complemented by socks and ankle boots. Not the attire you are used to see in the office but if worn it would look great and very unusual and certainly will attract attention.
The color palette is mostly grey and black but there are a few bright things as well, coming in yellow, green and fuchsia tints.
