Diane Von Furstenberg has teamed with Google to showcase the company’s latest technology – ‘Glass’ specs that film and photograph the surroundings from the wearer’s point of view. Both designer and Google’s co-founder Sergey Brin were wearing the Glass while some models showed off the hi-tech specs on the runway. But it seems that this is not just a simple gimmick for the designer. The specs the models and designer’s assistents were wearing allowed them to capture all the different angles and perspectives of making the fashion show.

said Diane Von Furstenberg.
The ‘DVF through Glass’ documentary of the behind-the-scenes of the show captured with the Goodle Glass specs will be shown on Thursday on DVF’s Google + page.
As to the collection itself there were prints galore, flowing fabrics and flattering silhouettes, neon brights and eye catchy accessories. The colection is colorful including colors like turquoise, yellow, lime, red, orange, salmon, navy, beige, brick red, white, and taupe.
There are floral and abstract prints mixed, polka dot pattern, shiny and sequined fabrics, embellished and bedazzled details, goldern belts, drapes, and plunging necklines – all of which makes the collection so versatile and interesting.
The accessories are a significant part of the collection. Some are the actual parts of garments while others are separate accessories like necklaces and bracelets. Necklines in some pieces are decorated with metallic baubles or plates. Sunglasses come in interesting shapes and bright-colored frames.
The footwear is also detailed with some accessories like chains that can be seen in bracelets and baubles. The interesting detail in the footwear is fabric rolls that decorate the straps or the back of the heel.
