With a great number of rules and restrictions, we all happen to crave something out of the standards. A stereotype-free society seems to be way too utopian, but this is what I sometimes tend to crave. I keep brooding and drooling over such a day, when I would wake up without a concern how the people around will react to certain actions of mine. So far, it has been only in my dream. The reality shows, that no matter how great your personality is, it is not going to be accepted unless you meet the common standards. The only thing left here is to express yourself in a way you dress. This is where you can fully transform both your inner thoughts and current emotions without a fear to be misintepreted. Jean Paul Gaultier offers such a chance with his Spring/Summer 2014 collection.

Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer 2014: Freedom & Rebell

From the very first look, it becomes clear: the collection is far from boring or regular. Jean Paul Gaultier focused on grunge and punk – this season’s trend. But his Spring/Summer 2014 line presents a slightly different view at the style. It is not just about leather, you will also spot lace, organza and other fabrics that are so intricately entwined with the main actor of the show.

Leather jackets are offered in new designs, which astonish with the elaborate silhouettes. I liked the maxi one with one shoulder off and zipper styling. It can be donned separately or else as a regular coat. The greatest thing about it is that it enables the lady to walk properly without stumbling like a geisha or trapping over here and there.

There are also some outfits in a more feminine and delicate style. For example, those dresses and jump suits with florals. Or the black asymmetric frock with one long sleeve that looks super elegant. Here it is combined with mesh tights, but I would opt for something more sophisticated. Black pumps also seem to be a bit out of the theme – I would trade them for a pair of red ones.

Jean Paul Gaultier also offers a range of gorgeous outfits in ecru, burgundy, rich bronze, lust red and coral pink. None of them will leave you untouched! Check out the gallery to get more inspiration for your cool looks.
