Jason Wu has presented his Ready-To-Wear Spring/Summer 2013 collection at the New York Fashion Week full of feminine and sexy but elegant silhouettes. There are lots of monochromatic ensembles that come in the mix with coral pink and beautiful deep blue. Dresses and tops with elements of lingerie and sheer panels give the elegant silhouettes an edge that is emphasized with leather and lace that are used throughout the collection.
The collection is comprised of dresses, skirts and tops, blazers and pants as well as jumpsuits. There are day and evening dresses. The latter ones feature sheer skirts with hot pants underneath and thigh-high slits.
The footwear and accessories are made in similar style featuring ocassional studs, lacquered toes, boudoir elements like polka dot mesh and such. The hardcase handbags and clutches predominate featured in various shapes and leopard print.
The collection is amazing. It is refined and silhouettes are flattering. Regardless of black and white being the main color palette there are floral patterns, prints and embellishments that create a spring-y mood.
