Coco Rocha Agrees To Do Fashion Campaign If It Is Free Of Retouching

I think only a very confident woman can now agree for a photo shoot if she knows there will be no retouching. And it’s we who are to blame. We declare beauty as something perfect, flawless. But beauty is different. And model Coco Rocha wants to prove that to us by doing an ad campaign that is free from retouching.

In our era of digital technologies and perfect beauty photoshop seems to be one of the most innocent techniques to keep up with fashion. But there are women who want to show that real beauty still exists. Coco Rocha is the one. She claimed she wouldn’t do a campaign unless it was free of retouching.

Coco Rocha, who is to represent Marc Jacobs Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection, is reported to give her consent to do the campaign for the brand if a no retouching policy is respected. Very praiseworthy decision.

Maybe soon, if it becomes a trend, we’ll see someone less gorgeous than Coco Rocha without being photoshopped, too? What do you think?
