Emerald Green Is Pantone's Color of 2013

Pantone Inc., a corporation that matches and standardizes colors, chose the emerald green as the color of 2013. We’ve seen some of it on the runway in different shades and intensity. At Gucci the greens had a little blue and yellow to them. Zac Posen combined two green hues in his evening gown.

Green is the most abundant hue in nature – the human eye sees more green than any other color in the spectrum. As it has throughout history, multifaceted Emerald continues to sparkle and fascinate. Symbolically, Emerald brings a sense of clarity, renewal and rejuvenation, which is so important in today’s complex world. This powerful and universally appealing tone translates easily to both fashion and home interiors,

This is Pantone’s emerald green. It is intense and has a little blue to it. It’s a beautiful color that can be incorporated into the look in so many ways. Nanette Lepore chose emerald green accessories for the top skirt ensemble, a wide belt and matching shoes.

This is a great accent color and can be used both in clothes and accessories as well as makeup and manicure. Green is a great Spring-like color so you can easily wear it and pair it with such colors as yellow, deep blue and black.

If you want to try this color but not sure about it try to wear it on your nails or eyes to see how it works for you. You can also add just a touch of emerald green with a jewelry piece. Earrings or a bracelet will make a great accent in the look.

Pantone’s color of 2012 was Tangerine Tango, a vibrant red orange while the 2010 it was the turquoise and still many of the celebs opted for bright emerald green, this color is an often guest on the red carpet regardless of trends. And it’s no wonder as it is so eye-drawing and beautiful. What do you think?
