There were rumors that Chanel’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld was planning to retire and already found a person who deserved to replace him at the position. However, Haider Ackermann, who actually was Lagerfeld’s choice, said the designer wasn’t planning to quit his job soon.

Ackermann commented:
The man [Karl Lagerfeld] is still there, and he’s not retiring. Trust me on that one.”
Talking about Lagerfeld’s character Ackermann said:
It’s a pleasure to be with such a person, because he is so very generous, and he’s got so many things to tell you. You can only just absorb and observe.”
