We all love designer things but those often cost too much for us to afford. And we end up dreaming that one day such items could be less expensive and we would finally have them. But there is another way, quite simplier. Designers can collaborate with high street stores and on the basis of such collaboration gladden their customers. The latest to go down from the heaven to earth was Alber Elbaz, Lanvin’s creative man, who agreed to work with H&M.

The collection Lanvin designer is currently working on for H&M includes both men’s and women’s clothing. Alber Elbaz isn’t designing alone. He’s teamed up with Lanvin menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver, so the range is going to be really special.
See Alber Elbaz talking about the collaboration with H&M:
Elbaz says of the collection for H&M:
I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. I thought it was a smart concept so I say ‘I do.’ This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.”
And Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M, added:
We are thrilled about Lanvin’s collection for H&M, it is such an exciting moment. Lanvin will bring to H&M a luxurious French tradition that is also modern and playful. It is very much a Lanvin collection, using their cut and tailoring, with lots of focus on form and details for both women and men. The launch in November is going to be full of wonderful surprises.”
As far as we know the women’s collection will comprise 30 garments and 15 accessories, while the menswear will encompass 25 garments and about 10 accessories.
According to the reports, the range will launch on Nov. 20 in North America and Nov. 23 worldwide. Besides, customers will be able to fetch the things designed by Lanvin on H&M’s website.
