Joan Collins believes women over 40 should avoid wearing jeans as those make them look bad. And if ladies still choose to sport denim they should make sure the pair they are planning to don is black or dark blue and is teamed with a fitted t-shirt or a jacket that is ‘classically cut’.
The 78-year-old told BBC Breakfast:
Frankly, [wearing jeans] just makes everyone look the same. One of the things about being glamorous is that you have to find your own look.”
If you must wear jeans, which are rarely glamorous in women over 40, wear dark blue or black and pair them with t-shirts that are fitted or jackets that are classically cut.”
But despite the fact Joan Collins gives advice not to wear jeans if you are a 40-plus woman, she seems to consider herself one of those who can pull that look off.
If you want my opinion, she is definitely not the one who looks good in jeans. I know plenty of women, including my Mom, who look much more attractive in denim.
