Marc Jacobs, who once had a chance to play himself in a 2007 documentary Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton, is reported to get a real job as an actor. No details have been revealed so far but the designer confirms his new venture:
I got cast in a role in a movie. They’re filming next week and I’m excited. I get to play a character that’s not myself at all.”
New couple has been announced inside Gucci brand – Frida Giannini and Gucci CEO Patrizio di Marco. The two have revealed that they’ve been a couple for over two years. They are said to get romantically involved on a trip to China. Both were divorced at that time. Now, when the both understand how strong their feelings are di Marco and Giannini discussed the matter with François-Henri Pinault, the chief executive of PPR, which owns Gucci. They mentioned they were ready to leave Gucci if required, but Pinault “was very supportive.”
Pinault commented:
If something changed and one left, well, we would deal with that. . . . This is a family business – it was started by my father, and I know how that can feel and seem to the outside world, but I also know how much that makes you be strict with yourself. And I knew them, so I knew if anything this would make them more demanding with themselves.”
Gisele Bundchen (See Gisele’s picture gallery) is said to be the new face of Givenchy. She might have already shot the brand’s Spring/ Summer 2012 campaign along with male model Noah Mills in Jamaica. If the rumor is true the campaign will be the first since Fall 2007 that hasn’t featured Riccardo Tisci’s close friend and muse Mariacarla Boscono. Gisele used to represent Givenchy in 2000 when Alexander McQueen was the designer of the brand.
