Nicole Kidman was recently announced as new face of Jimmy Choo. The actress fronts the Fall/Winter 2013-2014 campaign, which was shot last month by Mikael Jansson and will launch in August. The star said that she “always loved fashion and often use it as a way to get into character”. She also said that there is “a lot of complexity, mystery and femininity to the Jimmy Choo woman”.

Jimmy Choo’s campaigns most often feature models, but back in 2006 Nicole Richie was chosen as face of the brand and fronted an ad campaign for Spring/Summer collection. Supermodels like Natasha Poly and Karmen Pedaru represent the brand’s fragrances.

Jimmy Choo has also done a few collaborations lately. This includes a Fun Capsule by Rob Pruitt and a limited eyewear collection Carrera by Jimmy Choo.
Nicole Kidman was also chosen for Cannes jury where she and other members along with chair Steven Spielberg will decide which one of the nineteen competing films will receive Palme d’Or prize. The competing films include such works as The Immigrant, Inside Llewyn Davis, and Only Lovers Left Alive. The Great Gatsby will open the festival, while Zulu, starring Orlando Bloom will close it.
