Well, I’m not a big fan of Rihanna-the-designer. Her collection for Emporio Armani wasn’t impressive and received a lot of criticism. But the singer must have taken all the negative comments as a challenge as according to her recent statements she is planning to launch a label of her own, not just another celebrity range, but a real fashion label.

To be sincere I’m not excited. Rihanna, whose style is risky and controversial, often goes too far with her own outfits and I’m afraid of even thinking of what she could offer to her fans. Aren’t we going to see half-naked girls with their boobs and nipples visible through t-shirts soon walking in streets? Because that’s what Rihanna’s recent looks are. I don’t want that. Sorry.
However, Rihanna seems to be seriously considering the possibility of becoming a fashion designer:
I’m really pursuing a fashion line of my own. I want to design. This is also a road that I want to earn it. So I’m working with designers. Designers that I respect, and companies that I respect. I want people to really trust me before I just say ‘Buy it, because it’s mine.’”
