FW 2012 Givenchy Couture
With an advent of Couture Shows and Fashion Week seasons we will share the runway news about who will (or won’t) show where and what to expect from the Fashion Week in February.
Givenchy chose to cancel the couture show this season and make some private appointments with the clients instead. Since 2010 Givenchy couture was presented privately and shown to clients but not in the format of a regular catwalk show. This year Riccardo Tisci will create couture dresses for clients, some other projects and, of course, the red carpet events. Tisci will also be a co-chair alongside Rooney Mara, Anna Wintour, and Lauren Santo Domingo for the The Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibition which will launch at the at the Costume Institute Gala.
L’Wren Scott Spring 2013
Designer L’Wren Scott decided to show her Fall 2013 collection at London Fashion Week previously showing at New York and Paris:
I liked the idea of not being tied to one place, one time, one format. My brand is now expanding in Europe and showing in London this season feels right. We always move to our own rhythm,
she explained to WWD. The show is scheduled for February, 17 but the format is yet unknown. The model-turned-designer received an award at the 29th Annual Fashion Group International Night Of Stars and also recently launched an eyewear line and a limited edition $195 fragrance.
Tom Ford Spring 2013
Tom Ford scheduled a fashion show for London Fashion Week which will show on 18th February. His Spring 2013 collection was presented privately at his London studio.
