It’s always exciting to see the work of emerging fashion designers. We picked up the ten new designers whose work is outstanding and fresh. They all have their own signature style that makes them next big things.
10 New Fashion Designers
Founded in 2008 Dion Lee’s label focuses on structured tailoring and minimalism. The designer’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection is a combination of both. On the one hand most pieces come in one color but the structured silhouttes and details make it interesting, fresh, and simply gorgeous. It is wearable too but at the same time it is amazingly eye-drawing thanks to the intricate design.
Marissa Webb has been holding a position of Head of Womenswear and Accessories Design at J.Crew for a decade but now she has launched her eponymous collection that is both playful and elegant. Her Spring 2013 collection is made in black and white color palette with pops of 2013′s trendiest emerald green.
Simone Rocha graduated in 2010 with a Fashion MA from Central Saint Martin’s College debuting her 2011 collections at London Fashion Week. The designer has already collaborated with a high-street brand Topshop and has become successful among world’s prestigious stockists.
Teija Eilola who worked as a joint head of womenswear at Ted Baker and graduated from RCA created her own collection which was shown during London Fashion Week as part of Fashion Fringe show. The Eilola’s collection in neutral tones is seemingly simple as the designer herself says that she takes simplest patterns and creates more intricate forms with help of fabric.
Wes Gordon is s New York-based designer. A CSM graduate and Oscar de la Renta and Tom Ford intern. The young designer began creating under his eponymous label in 2009 and since then showcased his collections at New York Fashion Week, and received a Rising Star Award. The designer’s creations appeared in glossy fahsion mags as well as on such celebs like Ashley Greene. The designer mixes art and fashion with haute couture flair thanks to his time at CSM.
Clover Canyon brings bright pieces with original patterns and colorful prints from California. The brand’s team creates amazing almost story-telling prints that are transferred onto fabrics and sewn into modern clothes with a bohemian touch. The brand’s designer Rozae Nichols collaborated with an artist Alexandra Grant to help transfer the artist’s painting on the fabric in time for Art Basel.
Graduating from Central St. Martins in 2004 designer Jasper Garvida was praised by Hillary Alexander and won Sky One’s Project Catwalk. In 2008 the designer started his eponymous label and since then worked with such celebrities like Liz Hurley, Cheryl Cole and Sophie Ellis Bexter. Also the designer’s works appeared in such publications like Elle and ID.
Serkan Sarier of Brood
Designer Serkan Sarier behind his brand Brood, which was established in 2010 graduated from Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and has worked for fashion designers like Haider Ackermann, Giambattista Valli, and Olivier Theyskens. Now he is dressing celebrities like Emma Watson. His Spring/Summer 2013 collection is all about florals.
Moi Multiple was founded in 2008 and it’s not only made for women who seek individuality but also care for the brand’s environmental policy. Moi Multiple is researching fabrics and create garments with repect for the environment.
Anne Sofie Madsen
Anne Sofie Madsen graduated from Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2009 and in 2010 she already debuted her collection at London Fashion Week in 2010. With experience in Dior and Alexander McQueen she created a couture-inspired collection of structural unique pieces.
