Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have created a jewellery line for upmarket jeweller Asprey. The collection, named The Protector, includes baby gifts such as egg cups and silver spoons, and lots of beautiful rings, bracelets and earrings.
When working on the line the celebrity couple was inspired by snakes. They consider the reptile as a symbol of protection. Besides, Angelina saw it as a talisman for herself after being given a serpent ring when she was pregnant with daughter Shiloh.
All proceeds from the range will go to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, a charity co-founded by the actress. The organisation is aimed to help children that are the victims of war and natural disasters.
The collection will be available from Asprey stores in London, New York, Beverly Hills, Tokyo and Dubai later this week. Prices will start from $525 for a spoon.
Neither Brad nor Angelina want to comment on the venture, but speaking about the charity, Angelina says:
These are the children who most need a safe place to learn, a place to heal, a place to learn reconciliation, a place to build a better future and a place to just be children. Yet the education for these children is often forgotten. Tens of millions of children and adolescents in conflict are not in school.”
I don’t know what you think about the collection, but I do like it a lot! Good job!
