The August cover is very typical for Vogue magazine. But it’s a special edition.

For the cover of the special yearbook 2009 version, editor Anna Wintour preferred a woman in her 40s: Christy Turlington, supermodel of 1990.

I remember of when I worked for the first time with it in years 80. Christy was an adolescent, I, woman editor of British Vogue”, says Anna Wintour.

Christy Turlington is mother of two and married to the publisher of art Ed Burns. She studied Public Health at the University of Columbia, covered countless number of magazines and now wheels the world working as voluntary in prenatal health.

It did not make a life of its beauty, but a beautiful life”, observes Anna Wintour.
