Crisis Makes Women Lie More

Credit crunch has made us forget about lots of purchases but sometimes we still indulge ourselves and buy something that we really want but maybe don’t need much. And when it happens we are forced to lie to our beloved about the costs of all those clothes, shoes and beauty products that make us so happy. Or if there is a posssibility we just keep the purchase secret.

It has always been true about women but now when we experience tough times the habit seem to be used more often.

Marie Claire magazine questioned 1,500 women aged 20 and 40 concerning their shopping expenditures. The results of the survey show that over forty per cent of ladies confess they have bought clothes or beauty products which they kept secret from their other halves. And about 80 per cent of the new clothes, shoes and handbags bought were kept secret.

The tendency was commented by Trish Halpin, editor-in-chief of Marie Claire.

He said

While once it was the occasional pair of new heels, now women feel compelled to regularly hide new purchases.’

So, dear ladies, we are liars now even more than before. But it is the white lie, isn’t it?
