Dancing with the Stars and Vera Wang

Share |

Popular TV show Dancing With the Stars is getting more fashionable and stylish with a popular designer Vera Wang.

E! News reports:

“A source tells us that designer Vera Wang has signed on to compete for next season’s disco ball trophy.”

Vera Wang is best known for her fab wedding and evening dress designs, has her own home line, plus a lower-priced outfit collection at Kohl’s. The former Vogue editor-turned-wedding gown designer once trained to become a professional figure skater and designed outfits for ice queens Nancy Kerrigan and Michelle Kwan.

Also she worked at Ralph Lauren as a design director for two years before leaving to start her own label.

The famous designer will turn 60 years old June 27, and this doen’t stop her to take part at the new show. Vera is a trained ice skater who competed in the 1968 US Figure Skating Championships.

ABC is yet to comment this information on the celebrities who will be appearing in the hit show.

A rep for Vera Wang did not comment. And unsurprisingly, an ABC rep declined to comment on casting. But ABC did just announced today that season nine will premiere with a three-night, five-hour extravaganza on Sept. 21st.

  • How to look leaner How to look leaner

A recent survey has proved that women normally base their perception of their body shape on models and Hollywood starlets, rather than on ordinary women. However, those fashion icons and film stars are 15-23 percent lower in weight and 5-6 inches taller than the ‘average’ American woman. As a result we have so many ladies depressed about their so-called ‘body problems’.
