Everyone needs some ‘selfish time’ to relax
Everyone needs some ‘selfish time’ to relax, reflect, otherwise we are all liable to explode!
It is often too easy to get tied-down by work or commitments to get some space and chill out.
Writer Kathy Lette is a woman we are jealous of not only because has she managed to corner the market on being successful, happy and fun, but also has the right idea when it comes to needing to be a little selfish in order to stop ‘feeling Vesuvial’.
Coining the phrase to describe how it is easy to let things get on top of you until you are liable to erupt, Lette has made a career out of making us laugh, and recommends we all take some time out, and making take a long soak in the bath.
If you haven’t heard of the hilarious Kathy Lette (author of “Puberty Blues” and “How to Kill Your Husband” among other best-sellers), click here for a sneak peek into her reasons for writing the aptly named “All Steamed Up“, a conveniently splashproof mini novella in association with Radox’s “Be Selfish” campaign.
What better way to take the time alone to ponder and switch off than taking a few minutes to see how the master spends her “me-time”?
We all know what it feels like to be juggling too much – there is work by day, spending time with friends and family to think about as well as trying to get some well-needed alone time to keep a clear head by night – there simply aren’t enough hours in the day!
Ladies, it is time to take some advice from Lette, for whom “selfish time” is a long bath, writing down her feelings to comedic effect and taking time out to think and look after herself.
After all, it can be good for the soul sometimes. Listen to this sample, it is guaranteed to make you giggle…
