Fashion show in the train!
Sounds ridicuous but it really took place yesterday on the Central line on London’s Underground. Usual people found themselves with a front-row seat at the world’s first fashion show on a moving train.
I can imagine how much they were surprised to see models walking through the carriage.
The show was held between Marble Arch and Tottenham Court Road stations and had been organised by West End retailers for the launch of London’s inaugural High Street Fashion Week, the first fashion event to the main London Fashion Week later this month.
Eight graceful models boarded trains wearing garments from the fall collections of Debenhams, Next, River Island, Marks & Spencer, Selfridges, John Lewis, House Of Fraser and Uniqlo.
The girls could move between carriages as the trains stopped at Oxford Street and Bond Street stations. The beginning time of 10am was chosen intentionally so that the trains were the quietest and models could work freely.

Model Leha Hibbert considers her job as a constant challenge:
I’ve never had to think about legs sticking out on the catwalk before,’ she added. ‘But even if it’s a perfect stage you can still trip. You just have to pick yourself up.’
Tell me: would you like to be a front-row visitor to a fashion event? What about the one in the train? Does the idea seem interesting to you?
