Kate Moss: new fragrance, own novel, her style

And the next step of business of Kate Moss is launching the scent named Kate.

The soft, daytime fragrance, created with Coty, blends lily of the valley, magnolia and roses.

Kate Moss said she wanted the perfume to have “a vintage English feel”, and be a symbol of both her “good” and “bad” parts.

I tried to encompass everything that I feel about being feminine and a bit rock ‘n roll, a bit edgy and a bit light, a bit dark,” she said.

I love anything old… except old men!” Err, thanks for clarifying that for us Kate!

The perfume comes packaged in a vintage-inspired flacon, with the motif being a black rose.

The ad campaign of the new smell was shot by Craig McDean and shows naked Moss playing with a flower in a field, highlighting the idea of both dark and light beauty.

In spite of having just presented her ninth range for Topshop, it appears her new seniority for September is a new perfume, inspired by her vintage outfits and accessories.

The supermodel, who has # 3 in top high paid world models, already received the title of Best New Celebrity Fragrance for her Velvet Hour scent.

Also Kate Moss was speaking to USA Today how she makes her style view:

My looks just happen,” the Topshop muse told a US magazine, “I put things together from my wardrobe and see what works and feels right.”

She talks about Topshop’s US launch when she explained her passive style and revealed that she is working on yet another outfit line for the store and a fourth adjunct to her fragrance line.

Kate’s fall 2009 line is expected to sell out in days after its launch on September 7th. The previously clothing line by Kate Moss in May generates record sales for Topshop owner Sir Philip Green and has reportedly taken ?3.5m in its first week.

OK, and what about writing the book?

There were some rumors that the British model may soon start writing the fictional novel about modeling.

Reportedly, she will be provided with assistance from a writer and friend Louise Wener.

It can be a chronicle and a frank account of a young model’s life, as she goes from an unknown face to an A-list star, which sounds like a bit of a stretch to us.

Writing a novel is something she has considered before. With the help of a ghost writer like Louise, she is convinced she could come up with a commercially successful product that could be a great money-spinner.
