Kate Winslet on Parade Magazine

Titanic actress Kate Winslet talks about her first love, how she finds normality in her celebrity life and the advice for her children in the latest issue of Parade magazine.

She’s promoting her next film Revolutionary Road that opens in December and is directed by her husband Sam Mendes.

The 33-year-old British actress smokes during the interview:

On seeing onscreen how she and former Titanic co-star Leo DiCaprio have aged:

I’m like, ‘Yes, damn it! Look at those foreheads move!’ I mean, he has this amazing furrow here (points to a spot between her eyebrows) which wasn’t as prominent then, and this (points to the wrinkles on her own forehead) is much more prominent in me now. I just love seeing those things. I am enjoying my face changing, as well as realizing that at the same time, as you get older, the machine isn’t as well-oiled as it was.”

Pointing to a spot between her eyebrows, she adds:

I mean, he has this amazing furrow here, which wasn’t as prominent then.”

Winslet adds that the wrinkles in her own forehead are “much more prominent.

I just love seeing those things. I am enjoying my face changing, as well as realizing that at the same time, as you get older, the machine isn’t as well-oiled as it was.”

On Halle Berry’s recent remarks about how she finds Winslet stunning where she said:

That’s so amazing. That is worth the pain! I am thrilled to hear someone like Halle say something like that. But what I would want to say to her is, ‘Well, you can,’ because all I do is say, ‘I don’t give a —-!’”

   i love her as an actress and now i can see that she is not one of that sort of women who are screaming looking in to the mirror when they’re at their 30-40.

   She’s a fabulous actress and i can watch Titanic again and again just to see her playing so well, but time doesn’t do her good, she’s obviously getting old… not good.
