Lady Gaga’s Style to be Awarded

Lady Gaga is to be awarded for her “well-appointed” accessories.

The singer is famous for her flamboyant outfits, accessories and makeup. She is admired by many but hated by some either.

However, it has been announced recently that the ‘Poker Face’ star’s style has been noticed and appreciated. And the eccentric girl is going to be given a Stylemaker Award at the 13th annual Accessories Council Exchange (ACE) Awards on Monday (02.11.09) in recognition of her unique wardrobe.

Karen Giberson, president of ACE, commented:

As an artist, she’s well-appointed in accessories. Just when you thought you saw everything in originality, there she is again. People anticipate what she’s going to wear and it’s exciting to see accessories as such a meaningful part of someone’s wardrobe. Whether it’s her hat or gloves, she’s always well-appointed.”

The singer will have a twice honour since it’s Marc Jacobs who will present the award to her.

Among other honorees at the ceremony will be Diane von Furstenberg (an Accessory Visionary Award), Tomas Maier of Bottega Veneta (Designer of the Year) and Burberry (Brand of the Year). Even Barbie will be honoured as a Fashion Icon.
