Liam Gallagher’s new clothing line was expected by his fans for a pretty long time, somehow for three months. And a couple of days ago it was announced to be on sale.
You wouldn’t believe this but eager fans of Liam literally crashed the online shop! It took just a few minutes for thousands of people, actually more than 10, 000, to rush to get their hands on the line!
A spokesperson for Pretty Green told:
We carried out extensive research and had advanced superior systems in place to manage over 30 times what you would expect for the launch of a brand like this.”
We have engaged the best technology providers in the U.K., but obviously even the most robust system couldn’t deal with this level of demand.”
The line was named Pretty Green, inspired by The Jam’s song.
Gallagher explained that his decision to launch his own brand was in part due to the lack of things he liked on shelves:
Clothes and music are my passion. I’m not here to rip anyone off and I’m not doing it for the money either. I’m doing it cuz there’s a lack of stuff out there of the things I would wear.”

The collection includes “footwear, denim, knitwear, jackets, trench coats, parkas, t-shirts, hats, scarves and accessories.” Gallagher’s plan for the new line was to make clothes that are “up-front, straight-talking, classical clothing range.”
I’m not doing it to make money,” Liam says in a video dedicated to the line. “I’m doing it ’cause I’m into clothes.”
Sincerely speaking the collection didn’t impress me much.
There is lots of stuff of this kind on the market now and I can’t see anything really special and different in the line by Liam. Well, it’s just my opinion and as the sale revealed not many people think the same way.
