Madonna is reported to set to launch her second fashion line teaming up with a world-known fashion designer Christian Audigier who is currently designing an outfit for Michael Jackson’s upcoming tour.
As you probably know she created her own clothing collection – M by Madonna – with Swedish high street chain H&M in 2007. The line was extremely popular with shoppers, selling out all the items as soon as they hit shelves, despite some pieces costing over £100 a pop.
And now the Material girl is said to be working on a high fashion range with Audigier. According to publication reports the designer has offered the star a six-figure deal to design a collection for him, which will include tattoo-inspired t-shirts and diamante-encrusted T-shirts.
Christian Audigier has already worked with celebrities to market his clothes.
Among those were Britney Spears, Heidi Klum, Nicole Sheridan and now is one of the world’s most iconic women, Madonna.
Following news she is set to release her own clothing line Madonna has been named PETA‘s worst dressed celebrity after overtaking Demi Moore in the animal rights group’s annual poll.
According to PETA nobody has copied Madonna’s style since 1984 due to the fact she wears fur.
We know she’s on the prowl for a young cub, but someone needs to tell Madonna that wearing fur doesn’t make you a cougar.”
It’s worth mentioning that Madonna is not the only one to be criticized by PETA. The list also includes such names as Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kanye West, Liz Hurley and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen twins.

As with all fashions, good or bad, it is as much in the marketing as it is in the design. Both Sarah Jessica Parker and Amanda Bynes had great fashions, but their teaming up with Steve and Barry’s left both with a somewhat dead line.
Independent retailer are now picking up the lines and will, in time, possibly revive them.
