Sophie Ellis Bextor has good taste… now

Sophie Ellis Bextor has recently confessed she regrets buying lots of the clothes in her wardrobe. She says she is horrified when looks at outfits she used to wear.

A mother of two – Sonny, five, and four-month-old Kit – admits she can’t look at garments she wore just weeks before.

She said:

I often look at things I wore a month ago and think, ‘What was I thinking?’ But you can’t take it too seriously.

Everything I wore when I was pregnant with Sonny was crazy. I had blonde hair, fluorescent red earmuffs, a purple tartan scarf and a baby blue coat. I just looked mad. I said to Richard, ‘Why did you let me go out?’ and he said, ‘I thought it was funny!’ “

Interesting, isn’t it? So, those who believe celebrities always have perfect look can breathe freely after such a confession.

But Sophie is 30 now and I guess it’s the right age to feel what you are like and what you really want to be like. And the ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ singer finds it’s much easier now to dress stylish and sophisticated.

This is what she told Company magazine:

I think 30 can be a really good time for women. You feel much more secure. It’s more empowering, sexier. In your 30s, you’re more of a woman than a girl, and people take you more seriously.”
