It might seem strange and impossible but not for Tilda Swinton who signed the contract with Pringle of Scotland to be the face of womenswear and menswear lines of Spring/Summer 2010.
We all remember the latest Tilda Swinton’s views on red carpet and as for me this ad campaign idea is not that bad!
And of course, it helps save money for not using models for mens range.
The actress will replace Daisy Lowe, Pixie Geldof and Lydia Hearst for the brand. Presently Karlie Kloss is the face of Pringle.
Pringle’s director of global communications, Benoit Duverger, tells WWD:
We don’t want to go away from [our traditional customers] – we believe Tilda is more inclusive, as both young and more mature people identify with her acting,”
The photographer Ryan McGinley will make this extremely anything-but-ordinary photo session against the backcloth of Scotland’s decorative landscape.
Printed images from the shoot will be demonstrated during the London Fashion Week show in September. The new ad will be accompanied by a short movie of Swinton.
