St. Valentine’s Day falls on February 14, and is the traditional day on which lovers in certain cultures let each other know about their love, commonly by sending Valentine’s cards, which are often anonymous.

The history of Valentine’s day can be traced back to an obscure Catholic Church feast day, said to be in honor of Saint Valentine.

But Valentine’s Day cards are not the only presents nowadays!

When choosing the gift for your darling, keep in mind that the present should express your feelings first of all.

The stores offer you a great variety of options to present, so everything just depends on your imagination!

Firstly think over the situation you want your beloved to get the gift: if you want it to be a romantic evening with the lit candles, wine and love music; or you want your sweetheart to get the present at her/his work place; or when she/he cleans up; or during the parachute jumping… kidding!

So, switch on the imagination!

Sometimes the dear ladies actively present to their boyfriends the things they want to have as the gifts for themselves!

That is probably a great mistake, because men usually prefer the things that represent respect, personal recognition or admiration from their partner.

For example, this can be:

•    Jewelry with personalized engravings, including bracelets or pendants.
•    Any item related to a sport or pastime your man cherishes.
•    Some favorite music: this could be some older music that he enjoyed years ago, or that you enjoyed together.
•    A popular computer game.
•    A set of movies featuring his favorite actor or an actress.
•    His favorite perfume.
•    Soccer tickets.
•    Yourself as a great present.

As for the presents for the girls!

A lady always wants to see your sweet feelings, how much you do care of her, how much you love her. And the gift is not necessary to be useful. It can be just romantic and simple!

• New clothes or jewelry
• Special photographs of you together
• Flowers
• Different Kind of Candy
• Toys
• Lingerie

The Valentine’s Day should be full of romanticism and love, so let it be it. Though we – ladies – want our every day to be the Valentine’s day!
