Mother-of-three Victoria Beckham, 34, has signed on to launch Giorgio Armani’s new global Emporio Armani lingerie collection, out in spring next year.
Who’s better than Victoria Beckham to launch our new global Emporio Armani underwear campaign?” Armani said in a press release. “Victoria is a style icon, a dynamic lady whose influence and recognition will add great excitement to the continued international growth of our Emporio Armani women’s underwear business.”
The photographs of Victoria Beckham modelling the new spring/summer 2009 collection of underwear will be shot by the team of Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot.
The photographers are famous for their portraits of sophisticated women, including Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Scarlett Johansson and Charlotte Rampling.
This ad campaign will be on posters, billboards and in magazines everywhere.
Victoria’s hubby David Beckham’s currently doing new ads for Emporio Armani’s autumn/winter 2009 collection.
Victoria has also presented jeans under her own label, dVb and launched perfumes.
Victoria has already worked as a photo model and has designed her collection of high-end denim jeans for Rock and Republic.
Emporio Armani underwear for women was inherently offered more than twenty years ago, this is the first time an international celebrity has been chosen as its ‘face’.
