Viktor & Rolf wants to design costumes for The Baden-Baden Opera House in Germany for Robert Wilson, who produces Der Freischutz by Carla Maria von Webber .
They have teamed up for the second time with Robert Wilson. The first time they worked for creating costumes for a dance production that he staged in 2004.
The styles of costumes are set to be imposing and Viktor & Rolf have used over a million Swarovski Crystals to create them.
One of the most intesting idea will be a coat with a giant 3D lightning bolt, a brightly coloured silk flowered dress and the choir’s costumes, which will be traditional folklore Dirndl and Lederhosen made of black neoprene.
The Opera will premiere on 30th May.
